General Notes

Note

The Laister-Kaufman is a two-place glider produced as a military training glider by the U.S. during WWII. Many examples were sold as war surplus, with several, including CF-ZBA, active in Canada. The note on this photo says "There are more of these craft in Canada than any other make. They are capable of quite good soaring performance and are the best two-place machines available ... competing with the best HP craft in Canada."
