Description

The Mead CIII Challenger glider was built from kits sold by the Mead Gliders company of Chicago. It was an enhanced version of their Rhon Ranger primary glider, of which thousands were sold and actually completed and flown. More information is available at: https://www.soaringmuseum.org/pdf/newsletter/pdf48_pdf.pdf The airframe pictured was built in 1932 by the Weber brothers, members of the North Battleford Gliding Club. It was flown often, and was still airworthy in 1949.
