Aydlett once said, “I am working with the relationship of decoration to form. I want to see how the surface relates to the shape of the piece. Slab built forms give me an unlimited potential for form while Majolica glaze creates a white canvas. I always try to create continuity between the two and myself. My designs explain my inner soul while my hands convey this on to the viewer."
