8X10 glossy of George's skull and shoes at the Museum. Two copies.
Update 2/2008: Black and white print. Two copies. Image of a partial skull face and jaw, an soles of a pair of shoes one on either side of skull. Resting on white paper.
1. Written on the back in blue ink:" U.P. Public Relations[.] the lower part of Big Nose George's skull and the leather shoes or boots which were cut off his feet after he was hung in Rawlins March 26, 1881 for trying to rob a train and his gang killing two men."
Written on the back in pencil: "Page 40, pix 3 3x5 53%" "20".
Written on the back in black ink: "George-g" "4"
White adhesive label pasted on back: "Big Nose George." 8 1/8 x 10"
Emulsion surface cracked. Lower left and upper right corners bent. Emulsion cracked. Stain at top center in series of cracks.
