A black and white unused postcard print showing a group of firemen and men standing in a roadway and holding onto an extended firehose in a horizontal line from a push hosecart that has two large wheels (they are as high as the men). The firemen are wearing medium colored firecoats and firemen style hats with short front bill and large back brim and high crowns. Vintage wooden downtown buildings are seen in background on side left. A building in the center has an U. S. flag hanging vertically from the upper edge of the roof down the front of the store. Men are standing by the hose cart wheels and two on the right are holding the side right of a large white rectangular sign that reads U. P. Hose Co. No. 2 Safety First with a logo between the words at the sign center. Two other men are standing at the opposite side and are holding the extended side left of sign. Two small girls dressed in white are standing on top of the firehose cart. Other people are seen in photo background behind the cart and sign.
Poor condition. Fragile with many tears on all edges. Severe large cracks and creases in emulsion surface. There is extreme wear and heavy soiling on both front and back surfaces with most of the back surface smudged with heavy black marks. Top left corner is heavily creased at a long angle.
