An 8 1/4" x 10" scan of two colored photographs on this single sheet. Photo at top shows a four sided short square, light colored concrete monument which forms a triangle at the top. Engraved on monument "In memory of Officers, Soldiers, and Civilians of the United States Army wounded in battle," ----other words are not readable. Names of soldiers are listed on side right. Photo at bottom is an enlargement of the photo at top. Side left of the names read: John Crowley

Typed note with photo: Battle of Milk Creek Location Site between Meeker and Craig on Highway, just outside of Meeker, on Yellowjacket Pass, 16 miles in. This monument to Ute Indians, one to the soldiers and one to the wounded is on site which was moved, circa 1985.Collection
