Front Street, Smith's Meat Market at 5th, Rawlins.
Update 2009: Black and white print of market on 500 block of Front Street. Image of inside of meat market. Large counter in back with man wearing white apron standing behind counter. Behind him are quarters of meat hanging from hooks, a scale, wrapping paper on end of counter. On back wall are mounts of an elk, a big horn sheep, and a mountain goat. At end of counter another man is standing with his hands in his pockets. To his left more meat hangs, there are wood barrels and crates. One reads: "Shlopeck Bros. Wholesale Fish Seattle, WA." Another: "Salmon". On floor in front of counter are wood boxes with potatoes and tuber vegetables. On table in center are what looks like cabbage. A kerosene lamp hangs from ceiling. Loud floral wall paper on walls and ceiling. Written on back in pencil: "Smith's Meat Market 500 block of Front St. " Print mounted on brown mat.
Condition good. Ink stain bottom of mat, rectangle shape stain on print right center, slivering, creased top left, corners worn, and paper missing.Collection
