Two black & white scanned prints on one photo. Top picture is of two women sitting on either end of a picture of a flag painted on a cement wall. Behind them is a rock building with a flat roof, two garage doors on left end with brick facade, a part of fire station. To right is a stone building that was the city jail for a time, it is behind the police station (not shown). In background on left is a large brick building possibly a bank. On background right is two story building that was built as an opera/theater building, it faces 4th street. This view is of back of building, upper level where curtains and backdrops were. View is of 200 block of 5th St. east side.
Bottom picture is of view 5th Street looking north. On photo left is multi-level house with porch and fence attached to white smaller building with a sign on the roof that reads "Shoe Shop". There is a light pole on sidewalk in front. Beyond is Dr. Barber's House (Aspen House in 2009) with a large tree in front. Following up street to north the water tower at the penitentiary is visible.
