Black & white scanned print of five men standing in front of a saloon. Saloon is a clapboard building, light with dark trim. Painted on building front: "Elkhorn Saloon. Rumph & Nicholas" On corner of building is small sign that says "Barber Shop" Man on left is wearing dark 3-piece suit, hat & is smoking a cigar. Man on his left is wearing dark pants & vest & light colored hat. There is a dog on ground facing men. Next man is wearing dark vest & pants, light colored shirt with dark arm bands & derby hat. Last man on right has a dark 3-piece suit and light colored hat. There is a dog laying on ground to his left.
Written in blue ink under man on far left: "Nosie Dave"
Written in blue ink under man fourth from left" "Chas Kimble"
Written on back in blue ink: "Rumph & Nicholas Elk Horn Saloon Medicine Bow Jan 1906 - Feb 1907
Condition: Good.
Update July 2011: Black & white original print on cream mat.
Written in pencil on yellow post it note: "The Elk Horn Saloon, Medicine Bow WY. Fred Rumph & "Nosie" Dave Nickolas purchased this established Saloon early in 1906 & ran it until Feb. of 1907 when they sold out & returned to "Salooning in Rawlins". In black ink: "Rans".
Good condition. Soiled, liquid stain, corners worn & paper missing.
Update 2016: 3.5" x 5" copy print, stain on back. Note: Kimble may be spelled Kimbell.Collection
