Black and white 8 x 10 photo of a train wreck from July 8, 1952 at Wamsutter where two trains collided and destroyed the coal shute. Carl Sallade was the engineer of the West bound train.
Photo shows a crane in the center of the picture with a Union Pacific car behind it with the number 03044 on the back. A line of people are sitting on the ground and some standing in front of the work train. Wreckage is seen on the right and several sets of train wheels are on the ground. Condition is good. Some scratches and warping.Collection
