Black and white 8 x 10 photo of a train wreck from July 8, 1952 at Wamsutter where two trains collided and destroyed the coal shute. Carl Sallade was the engineer of the West bound train.
Photo shows a crane on the left with cable out. There are wrecked train cars, tankers in foreground. Behind is a leaning structure of a coal shute. Several people are in the photo. Power lines are in the background and sagebrush in the foreground. Condition good. Some warping.Collection
