US Mail Plane, May 5, 1922
Update February 2011: Black & white contact print of a bi-wing airplane. Painted on side of plane: "U S MAIL". Three men, one with goggles on his head above his eyes, are standing in front of the plane. Chocks are in front of the plane's wheels & a wood box is set in the ground on photo right. Plane is tethered to the ground by wing in the foreground.
On bottom left corner in green ink: "#2421"
Written on back in pencil: "May 5, 1922 Mail plane" "#241"
Good condition. Emulsion impacted, scratched, creased top left & right corners, grooves, adhesive on back from previous mounting. Size 8 x 10"Collection
