Black and white snapshot print. Image of a vintage car that has been wrecked. Pieces of the car are piled on top of the body of the car. A younger man and older woman are standing in front of the car. Written on the back in pencil: "Janu 1st 1935 Duplicate". Condition Fair. Torn, creased, rainbow emulsion.
Used as mystery photo 2-2012. We had several calls about the mystery photo this week. Copper France and Jane France both identified the man in the photo as John France their grandfather. Copper has a photo album with the same photo in it. The photo was taken by Homer France on January 1, 1935 and is listed as the H. Cashman Wreck. The woman in the photo is listed as Aunt Allie and was the sister of Homer Frances' wife Carrie Bangs France.Collection
