Description

A pale blue three ring cloth covered binder which has a faded spine, appearing gray in color used as a scrapbook/photograph album. A small white sticker is placed at the top of the spine with 6 written in black ink on it. Inside cover has a yellowing white sticker 1 3/4" x 1 1/4." Written on it is: "Old newspaper clippings, and post cards K1." Larsen used this scrapbook for more than clipping and post cards, as there are many historical photographs of Fort Steele, WY in it. The binder measures 11 7/16" x 9 3/4." The collection begins with two handwritten letters of condolences for the death of Mr. Peter Hansen, the father of Martha Hansen Larsen. First page is missing two photos of Martha at the Hub Mines. The backside of the age is an index with a numbering system devised by Chris Larsen. The clippings cover Carbon County History from 1868-1980's. There is no source for the newspaper given.
