Photo off a calendar. Taken in 1903 of a freight team of 18 horses and four wagons entering Rawlins from the East. Wagons are loaded with sacks full of wool.. Update - 2009. Black & white photo copy of an 18 horse team pulling wagons. Horses are all harnessed together. Wagons are loaded high with large bags. One man is walking beside first wagon. Another man on horseback is behind first man. A clapboard house with porch is behind horses. Three more buildings are along street behind horses & wagons. Wide dirt street is in foreground. Photo copy was made with corner mounts & onto larger paper than print. Print had scalloped edges. Corners & border are light brown as is paper extending beyond print. Printed under print: "Freight Team - 18 Head Horses & 4 Wagons 1903 Going into Rawlins, WYO Zeek Farlow & Byron Smith". Written in blue ink: "Given to museum by C. E. Beeler Slater, Colo." Written in pencil: "C E Beeler Slater Colo brought in by Ben Ashlock" Condition: Good. Creased all over, edges ragged with tiny tears, back soiled.
