A very dark navy blue three ring binder used as a photograph album. Center front of cover has embossed "Building Counsel-Halleck & Howard Lumber Co." at center. the upper spine has a tiny white sticker with the #28 written in black ink. Inside the front cover is a 1 3/4" x 1 1/4'" sticker with "Dixie" written in ink on it, also printed are the words Jade& Minerals, both are crossed out. Below them is printed "Strattons I". the binder measures 11 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 1 1/2" thick. The donor used this book as a photo album of friends and neighbors ca. 1920-1950. First 13 pages of photographs concern Dixie and Orlando Peterson, their family pets and forest edge ranch home south of Tullis. They were Larsen's Ranch neighbors. Included also are Peterson's son-in-law, Vern Phillips, wife and family, their daughter Lyn, (Mrs. Robert F. Finsey), Encampment Artist. Marlis family and home; Bob and Pat Ivey. Clippings from the Daily Times about Tom Sun, his arrival, his ranch and his wife; Sweetwater Country around the Sun's Ranch; Devil's Gate, Sun Ranch Fireplace; Grant Family, Baltimore, MD; Martha L. Butter field and the Frank Genite Family; Little Snake River ranchers and friends, including: Dove Helwick, the McCaries (McCarys); the Wrens, Danfords, McCargers; Laramores, Jessmers, Yousts, and Bill and Jo Duncan, George Sheehan, Dutch Morgan.
Good condition with wear on all edges. Tiny white pieces of paper residue on spine. Spine has minor wear at lower edges front and back. Cover has scuff marks. Pages inside book have fingerprints and soiling.Collection
