Description

A medium brown three ring binder used as a photograph album. Binder has a tiny white sticker at top spine with the number 31 printed in black ink. The rings are mounted on the back cover instead of at center spine. Measures 11 3/8" x 10 1/8" x 2'" thick. This book is a combination photo album and scrapbook, complete with clippings, post cards, and photos. Year range 1880-1965. Clippings include: Daily Times 1965 reproduction of 1889 parade organized by 6 Rawlins children of Ryan, Murphy, Gunning and O'Donnel families; Chester (Shorty) Holseapple and his garage, Spruce and 12th; Northwest corner of Cedar and 5th, Junguist Hardware to Morgan's Pharmacy; Clippings on Mrs. Edith Daley resigning GOP position, 1965, William R. Daley and family moving to Saudi Arabia, 1965; John R. Daley receiving 50 year Masonic pin from nephew P. E. Daley; Dr. Raymond Barber photo (2) and clipping, 1939; handwritten note states that he was the Dr. for all "our" kids except Denise as he arrived too late to deliver her; clipping Frank Maxson purchases D. M. Dinsmore Realty Co. Obituary of Alice Smith White, 1965; Bennett Hardware Started in 1883, 1953 clapping; Mrs. John Larsen, 102 years old holding Jeri Ann Teers; Retirement of Edmund (Pat) Murphy as manager of Northern Gas Co., 2 clippings.
