Description

A black and white print framed in a narrow black wood molding with glass cover. Measures 13 3/4" x 18 1/4." Image shows four men mounted on completely outfitted horses. Man on left wearing three piece suit , light colored western hat. Three men on photo right are wearing light colored shirts. Two of them are wearing dark high crowned hats, and two are wearing light colored angora chaps, and one is wearing a dark hat and dark angora chaps. These three "cowboys" appear to have unshod horses , while the horse on extreme left appears shod. This implied to the donor that the man on the left was the foreman/boss while the three on the right were the sheepmen (most likely) herders/worker. Wooden structures in background with a white picket fence immediately behind horses. Dirt yard in foreground. Donor has no history on these men, but can tell the photo is taken in Rawlins due to the slanted roof at right, which is still standing today,.
