Description

A beaded double medallion with white beaded background with blue bugle beads, coral, and red beaded star design with four quarter circle design, one at each side of star top and bottom. White beaded scallop border surrounds each medallion. Each medallion measure 3 3/4" in diameter. A beaded blue and white beaded tube strand design is affixed to each side of the top medallion and rises approximately 7" where a piece of white deer skin string is attached to the beadwork strands in order to form a tie around the neck. The two leather strands are fed through a round bead to come together for tying at the top. Each end piece of the leather tie is tied in a knot to prevent the bead from being removed. Good condition with very light soiling on the tie ends. Attached to the side of the beaded necklace strand is a pair of 2" dangle earrings (tip to tip) made of blue hexagon shaped blue viennese trade beads which are old and white linear tube bead. They are in good condition, although the metal ear clasp seems to be turning in color. Both the necklace and the earrings were made in the 1970's by Leo Walking Bull, a Sioux.
