Description

Black and white print on green mat. Image of a circus parade on Cedar street. On photo right is the back of a circus wagon. It is ornately decorated and has a barred opening near top. Two elephants follow with advertising banner draped over their backs. A man walks in front of the first elephant. Following elephants is a man leading a camel which a clown is sitting. Behind camels is another box wagon with open top on which two men sit. Following are a group of children and 3 men on horseback. in the distance the steeple of the Presbyterian Church is seen. A sign reading "Post Office" is on a white two story clapboard building. Next to that are two ornately decorated false front buildings (one is Range Cafe, and the other Smith Hopka Clothing Store). The next two buildings have signs "Goods bought" & "Millinery" (Mrs. Brown owned this). People are on the boardwalk in front of the buildings. A man on a bicycle with a small child in front of him are on the corner where parade is turning. There are also 2 young girls in light colored dresses and a young boy in a dark suit. Photo left is the Masonic Building at the southwest corner of 4th and Cedar Written on back in black ink: "Looking SE at Fergusons Corner". 5th and Cedar (southeast corner), Condition good. Top right corner and left side of print is creased, soiled, scratched, accretion.
