A set of four black and white prints showing a group of men and women on a countryside excursion. They are all dated 1910.
Print 1: Image is of four women wearing long skirts, long sleeved blouses of various styles and hats of different styles. Tall shrubs rise behind them and a slight hill is at right background. There is dry grass in the foreground. Written on top edge of print in black ink: "Edna, Joe, Florence, Christel, 1910." Fair condition. Print has soiling on edges, slivering at multiple locations, some corners and edges are wrinkled. There are black paper remnants on back from being removed from a photo album.
Print 2: Image shows a group of four women and two men sitting in a dormant grass with shrubs in background. Food is spread on a white cloth in front of them and two women on right are holding plates and in process of eating. A man and woman in middle are drinking from their cups. Man and woman on left are sitting with their hands on their laps. Written in black ink on lower edge: "Eating dinner." Fair condition. Print has wear, intense silvering, wrinkling and soiling. Black paper remnants are on back.
Print 3: Image shows a group of four women and two men sitting in dormant grass with shrubs in background. They are having a picnic on the ground. man on side right appears to be cutting something on a plate with a long knife. Written on top edge in black: "Bull's Canyon, 1910." Fair condition. Print has distortions, yellowing on lower edge, large crease left side, wrinkling and silvering . Black paper remnants are on backside.
Print 4: Image shows a woman sitting in dormant grass with shrubs in background and side. White material is draped on a branch behind her. A man (his head does not show) is standing and holding a stack of plates in his left hand with other objects in his right hand. Written in black ink on top print edge: "Florence & Dick washing dishes, 1910." Fair condition with worn edges, yellowing on lower corners, heavy silvering throughout, few tiny dark smudges. Large black paper remnants attached on backside, as well as yellowing on back edges.Collection
