A black and white 8 1/2" wide by 6" tall photograph in a 14 3/8" by 12 3/8" light yellow frame, with light brown matting. On the mat "Citizenship Class, Hanna, Wyoming" is written in pencil.
The picture hows two rows of men, mostly young looking, 7 standing in the back row, 6 seated in the front. There is an out of focus woman off to the right.
The men (as many as fit) are positioned in front of a photographer's backdrop that is mostly covered but shows a plant and the top of a mirror. There is a larger, unidentifiable, backdrop beyond that. Everyone is facing towards the camera without smiling.
From left to right, the back row of men are as follows: 1) slightly out of fucus, wearing a 3 piece suit with dark tie and a watch chain. Carrying two books in his right hand. Very high collar. 2) Jacket and white shirt with low collar, no tie. Hands not visible. 3) Dark jacket, possibly a white scarf underneath. Holding a book, has a moustache. 4) dark jacket, lighter vest, tie, possibly watch chain or other short "bling" just above the waist. Moustach, single book, and a pencil behind the ear. Hair slightly messy/static-y. 5) Jacket, patterned tie, holding his book open with both hands. Mouth slightly opened. 6) Jacket, vest, plaid tie. Holding book in both hands. Possibly wearing a yarmulka-type cap, could be unusual hairstyle. 7) Looks more middle aged, could be hairstyle (very square, hairline far back on one side) and moustache. Book open in one hand, jacket vest and bow tie.
Front row: 1) Dark jacket and vest, white scarf, watch chain. Holding book. 2) Jacket, vest, patterned tie. Holding book with one finger holding a page. Watch chain, pen in jacket pocket. Light moustache. 3) Outdoor type coat, dark scarf with light fringe, pants with band around the bottom (look like firefighter pants?). Holds a book open in his left hand, several smaller (notebook?) books in his right. Very wide moustache. 4) Jacket, vest, no tie. Light moustache. Holds book and pencil as if ready to write. 5) Jacket, vest, striped tie. Holds a book. Moustache. Very light colored eyes, and his left eye appears to be turned in. 6) Winter coat, moustache, holds book in two hands.
The woman off to the right is in a light frilly blouse with a (light grey?) long skirt. She holds a book open in her right hand. A stack of 3 books is on a desk to her left (our right).
Photo is in good shape, with very minor damage to the edges. Frame has some dents, scratches, and a hole drilled through the center of the top edge.
"#14" and "2450" (with the 50 smaller, like a price) are written on the back in pencil, and the top right corner of the back paper of the frame is torn.Collection
