Train wreck in front of Depot, Brakeman was killed.
Update 4/2010: Black and white print. Snapshot. Image of the aftermath of a train wreck with a heavy duty crane removing part of the cab roof from one of the engines. Workmen on the ground at left and on top of the engine at center.
Written on back in black ink :"9/12/23". In pencil: "4".
Wrecked occurred in the Rawlins, Wy. Railyard.
Paper yellowed. Back soiled. Upper right and lower left corners bent-emulsion cracked; slight damage to other corners. Paper wrinkled.
NOTE: Runaway train x5003 was stopped by placing the switch engine 4464 on the track in front of it and allowing the resulting crash to stop the train. (Rans Baker-Historian).Collection
