Black & white original & one copy print. Image shows a group of older students seated in wooden chairs & 2 long tables. Books are plentiful; being read, laying on the tables; in glass covered cases at side left & right & aligned with their spines up on a table in foreground. A large door is at near side right. Door has a white sign that reads Silence haw library. A tiny white #455 is at lower right corner. A bust is on top of left bookcase. A woman wearing a sailor style dress is standing near bookcase at rear of tables.
Written in blue ink on print back: "Found in the old Central School house Rawlins, which was built in 1886, when it was closed for good. Brought to museum by Robert Sullens." "3-Christel Humphreys".
Written in pencil: Ed Quinn, Bill Loomis, Leonta Bunten, Besse Lambertsen, Teacher - Lillian Toole Rendle, Librarian - Christel Jensen Humbhrey, Mildred Kuykendahl, Miriam Draper.
Fair condition. Emulsion has a wavy appearance. Corners are worn. There are cracks in emulsion at top right & unknown residue top side left. top right section has a tear.
Copy - written on back in black ink: "Pg 16 #9. Also lists the above names.
Copy print measures 3 1/2 x 5 1/8". Good condition. Print has faded look. Developing flaws are seen throughout giving a blotchy appearance.Collection
