7 7/8" wide by 5 15/16" tall black and white photo in a 11 1/4" X 9" black frame, with black matting.
Photograph shows 2 rows of 4 people each, perhaps a wedding party. The back row, starting from the left, consists of: 1) a dark haired woman with her hair tied back, in a long light colored dress, with the pointed toe of one boot peeking out from underneath. She stands with her hands clasped at waist height; 2) a tall man with a thick mustache and a boutineer. Under his jacket he has a vest with pocket watch chain and a shirt with a high collar under a light colored tie. His left hand is possibly resting on the back of the chair in front of him; 3) a woman with her hair pulled back and a light colered dress with wide frilly collars. Most of her is obscured by the couple in front of her; 4) another tall dark haired man, with similar clothes to #2 and a more distinct part to his hair. His tie may be an ascott, and he has no moustache.
Front row: everyone is seated. 1) A lighter colored hair man otherwise dressed like the two from the back row. His hands rest on his legs, and his boutineer is longer than that of the men int he back. He has a moustache, but it's not as big as the man int he back's; 2) probably a bride, this woman appears to float in a sea of gauze with only her face and hands distinct. She leans slightly towards the next man -; 3) a moustache-less man in a suit lighter than the other three. He may be wearing white gloves or some sort of gauze over his hands, and there is a white blotch (probably damage to the photograph) over the gap between his body and left arm; 4) a woman in a multi-layered fancy light colored dress. Many of the details are obscured by what appears to be a thumb print.
No one in the photograph is smiling, and all the light colored details are difficult to make out. Behind all the people is a black backdrop/wall, which gives way to a little bit of patterned wallpaper to the right edge of the photograph. Most of the picture has yellowed except for the extreme edges, which are still light. There are several black specks along the bottom of the photograph, and a place where the image appears scratches off near the head of the first woman in back. There are also a few tiny specks of white paint on the glass and frame, and a hole drilled through the top center of the frame. The paper backing of the frame has town in the top corners, and has an illegible price as well as the number 27 written on it.Collection
