Hugus and Company Dry Good. Update - May 2010: Black & white print. Printed on postcard paper. Unused. Snapshot. Image of a large stone building - two stories with low wall at front edge of roof; chimney visible at right corner. Upper story has nine arched windows along front & five narrow windows on left side. First story has large windows & what appears to be four doorways. Sign on second story at right: "Bank". Sign between stories left of center: "J. W. Hugus & Co." Several men standing in front of building. Wide dirt street in foreground. Printed on back in black ink: "POST CARD" "CORRESPONDENCE" "ADDRESS" [square with "AZO" at top, bottom, left, & right around] "PLACE STAMP HERE". Written on back: [black ink] "Duplicate - Mounted" [pencil] "Front & 5th St. Jas France Block West 2/3 built about 1873 East 1/3 about 1879" "Exterior - Rawlins Business houses". "lots 12, 13, 14 Blocks 23 N. E. corner 5th & Front. Picture taken 1889-1895". Stamped on back in black ink: "Carbon County Museum Box 52 Rawlins, Wyoming 82301" Paperclip mark in upper left. Creases & cracks in emulsion in upper left side; emulsion scratched. Corner & edge damage. One 5 x 7" black & white copy print. Written on back in pencil: "Assorted scenes of Rawlins - Outdoors" Paper wrinkled top & bottom edges. Staple holes in upper left corner; upper left & right corners bent & emulsion cracked. Wavy emulsion; scratched; cracked at center left.
