Photo shows an old general store, looking from what is probably just inside the front door, down to the back. There are counters/display cases going down each side of the store, and shelves lining the walls behind them.
The cases starting from the bottom right corner of the picture hold boxes of what are probably cigars. Beyod that, cases with undeterminable objects with small rectangular labels/signs (like a fudge counter). The counter beyond that has a register, against which leans a man in a jacket, tie, and vest or sweater. He has a moustache, and his left elbow rests on the register. Behind the counter, the right wall is covered in shelves full of canned goods and rolls of unknown material. A grey haired man with a moustach, jacket, and string bow tie stands behind the counter.
The central isle of the store is a wooden floor with large stains, possibly water stains. The space is divided, roughly halfway down, by a display case with 5 shelves of bottles of a few different unidentifiable liquids. In front of that is a light colored box, and closer still to the front is a barrel, whose contents can not be seen.
The left row of display cases/counters seems to hold small objects of unknown nature. behin the counter is a man with a dark vest and a scarf tied neatly under the collar of his shirt. His elbow rests on the counter. Behind him, the left wall is also shelves jam packed with goods and a stack of rolls of an unknown material. The back of the store has additional display cases, as well as two posters. The poster on the right of the back wall is a woman holding an unknown object.
All three men are looking at the camera, but the man in the vest on the left is the only one with even a hint of a smile.Collection
