Black and white image of the Grand View Hotel in Elk Mountain. The foreground is grass, then a wire mesh fence. There are trees, in two main clumps with a few stragglers, between the fence and the hotel. The hotel is a white building with 6 windows and a door on the near side of the first floor, and 7 windows on the second floor. Near the center of the side, the roof is raised like there is a small area with a third floor. On the left side of the building, there is a balcony off the second floor, with wooden leggs supporting it. It appears that it may have bug netting/screens, as well as a railing all the way around.
Three people stand outside the hotel, a woman in a white blouse and long dark skirt, a woman in a white shirt and skirt and dark jacket, and a man in dark clothing and a light hat.
