Description

Two copies of a black and white photograph, taken in the same room as photo 2015.1139.4.1, another picture of the women's auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. One copy is 7" wide x 5" tall. It is creased from top to bottom on the left third of the picture, and the bottom right corner and top left corners are creased, along with several lighter horizontal creases. Second copy is 10" wide x 8" tall. It has lighter creases/scratches all over. Both photographs have "Frank J. Meyers Photographer, Rawlins, WYO" stamped on the back, and 1/4" white boarder around the image. The picture shows two rows of 9 women each. Windows with heavy curtains and flowered valences are behind them, with illegible framed pictures/posters on the wall behind the windows. (Pictures were more clear, and are described, in 2015.1139.4.1.) The women all wear dark, below the waist capes with lighter collars, light string ties, red satin lining, and a large sybol patch on the bottom left of the cape. The capes' right sides are flipped back over the hsoulder to reveal the lining. The right side of the collar has "FOE" pins, the left side has 4 pins, possibly numbers of a year. All the visible shoes are white. The first 6 women from the left, and the one on the right, in the front row all have dark shoe-length skirts that appear to have a similar tie to the cape. The first, third, fourth, sixth, seventh, and ninth women in the back have the same dark skirt. The 7th and 8th women in the front row wear light dresses, as do the second and fifth women in the back. The 8th women in the back's skirt is not visible. All the women but the center woman in the back row wear pointed caps. The other woman wears a shako.
