Each man is holding the barrel of a rifle that is upright with the butt resting on the log. An ax is stuck in the log at right. Men are casually dressed and wearing caps. Trees in background. Printed off center to left.

Paper yellowed. Back badly soiled and stained. Corner and edge damage-left corners and upper right corner bent and emulsion cracked. Emulsion cracked on lower right edge, center bottom and along left edge. Image surface badly soiled.Collection
