Colored scan print from a digital image of a white two story building with an adjoining single story art deco style building to it's left. the two story white building has three windows across front of building on second floor. Lower half of this building has lower brick facade & tall vertical windows. Building blends into the distance at rear. This building in extreme disrepair. the art-deco building has windows across top edge half large windows on each side of doorway at lower level. It is painted white with maroon accents & gray at upper edges. Typed on border at lower edge. 123 4th "The Andersen Building & 121 4th "the Silver Spur Bar" originally Rawlins Front Auto Garage. Taken for CCM 2/24/04 All rights reserved. Written on back in pencil: Chas Anderson Bldg built 1904 - As a Traveling Men's Saloon. Never used as such. Saw many businesses including being home for 2 separate Telegraph Companys. "Silver Spur" built by Homer France as a rental garage & auto sales in 1910. The first building build in Rawlins just for that purpose. Vernie Ferris, one of George & Julia boys added that year a Chalmers Detroit Auto Agency - he called it the "Overland Garage". Ferris closed his garage in early 1913. The building had a checkered history as a shop rental thereafter. Good condition. Minor wrinkles. Writing on back impacts the front surface. Slight color distortion at side left.
