Rawlins, Hugus and Company building. Indians on the street. The small framed building was a stage station at one time. At the time of this photo it was used a shoe repair by Mr. Kreuger. Taken about 1898. Rawlins Telephone exchange in upstairs corner room.
Update - 2009: Black & white print. Snapshot. Mounted on grey matboard with raised center, patterned inner "frame" and raised outer "frame" with beveled edges & parallel line decoration. Image of a two-story & brick building with smaller clapboard building at right. Stairs to second floor of large building between the structures. Lower floor is faced on front with floor to near ceiling windows & recessed glass doors. Sign on building cornice: "J. W. Hugus and Co." Small group of people on plank sidewalk in front of building - most are Native Americans. Dirt street in foreground. Picture taken from elevation. 400 block Cedar Street, Rawlins, WY.

Mounted on acidic matboard. Mat surface missing at center bottom on back from previous tape removal(?). Slight corner damage on mat. Slightly soiled. Image surface slightly scratched.
