Mrs. Brodt is seated on a white wooden bench slightly leaning on her left arm which is resting on bench seat. Her right arm is lying at right angle across her lap. She is wearing a dress of dark velvet with taffeta-like accented cuffs, top bodice and shoulders. She has her dark hair in an updo with dark pouf style hat with lace at crown and a decorative broad father at right side. She wears wire rimmed glasses. She is smiling. the 4 5/8 x 2 print is mounted on brown acidic mat board. Stamped in cursive black ink: G. Nitsche on bottom left of mat edge. Stamped on mat edge on right side: Lousanne et. Neuchatel.
