Description

Black & white print & one copy. Image shows an early day church building. White frame building with ornate arched like windows, a high steeple & bell tower is at left with a cross on the top. Tower has four layered sections. There are three entry areas to the building: double doors at front, double doors at side, and a single door at back addition. Electrical wires extend across the mid range of scene with support poles at side left & right. Roof of building is multi dimensional with three areas not including bell tower. A stone 2 story building is seen at side left. Printed on lower right edge from developing process: Meyers Photo. Written on back in pencil: Episcopal Church Written on back in ink: Torn down in 1961. Good condition. Wear on all edges with tear on right side. Large scratch across top edge of print with other bends & wrinkles. Other dimple & flaws in emulsion. Smudges on back& small orange stains. Copy print: 3 1/2 x 5: Written on back: Episcopal Church Good condition. Slight wear on right edge. Off center image. Update July 2011: Black & white copy print. Written on back in pencil: "Episcopal Church Rawlins, Wyo. torn down 1961 Neg #10827 Carbon County Museum" In blue ink: "Build in 1882" Printed on back in black: "Copy Provided by the Wyoming Archives & Historical Department" Good condition. Creased, spot on paper missing on center, irregular borders. Size 5 x 7"
