George Baker's bar, Encampment
Update February 2011: Black & white print on two tone tan mat. Image of the interior of a saloon with a very ornate bar that has three pillars to support top. There is a marble looking base with a pipe foot rest in front & spittoons on the floor. Signs hanging from the wood top above the mirror read: "Budweiser in Bottles". Two lamps also hang above mirror & two on mirror. A cash register sits in the middle of the counter & glasses & various bar supplies are on both sides. Two larger pillars are at each end of the mirror on back counter & extend to top board. a partial wall of stain glass is on photo right with a light on the top end. Several light fixtures hang from the tin ceiling. A big horn sheep mount is reflected in the mirror & a clock. Another sign on mirror reads: "Osmundo Cigars"
Typed on a white paper that is glued to the bottom of mat: "Interior of the George Baker Saloon at Encampment WY about 1910 or 1912 - note the pressed tin ceiling"
Blue ink writing is beneath the white tag.
Printed in lower right corner: "F.T. Nakaco, Hanna, Wyo."
Good condition. Scuffed, scratched, accretion, mat soiled & worn, paper missing on corners, accretion, liquid stain on back. Size 9 3/4 x 11 3/4"Collection
