Sepia print. Snapshot. Mounted on light grey matboard. Image of three horses & six riders - doubled up two riders to one horse. Five Indian native American men & one cowboy. Horses & riders posed in a clearing with trees & rolling prairie in background. Written on original negative in lower left: "Attending the Indian Races". Written on back: [blue ink] "Indian at the Races" "Taken by M. D. Houghton" "Copied by State" [black ink] "Mounted" [pencil on white adhesive label pasted to back] "Indian" Partial photographer's stamp on back in blue ink. Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down on left side - photographer's stamp cut off. Back soiled. Corner & edge damage. White ink paint on upper left margin. Image badly soiled & scratched. Mat warped.
