Description

Miner's Exchange Saloon, Dillon about 1906. Owned by George Baker. Updated 1/2008: Black and white print. Image of six men posed at the bar inside a saloon. Floral wallpaper border around top of walls; mounted steer horns above double mirror with liquor bottles stored on top shelf. Hanging gas lamp in front of horn mount. Bartender is standing behind bar and all are leaning on it with one or both elbows. all are wearing suits. Four are wearing hats and two are bareheaded. Written in blue ink in lower margin under second man from right: "Mr. Baker". Written in blue ink on back: "Mr. Baker (sic) Saloon of Dillon Wyo: :Given by Mr. Baker Encampment Wyo-" Badly stained and soiled on both sides. Left corners missing, approximately 1" tall triangular pieces; right corners missing also but smaller pieces. Emulsion cracked throughout, wrinkled. Badly yellowed and brittle.
