Description

Miner's Exchange Saloon, Dillon. Owned by George Baker. Update 1/2008: Black and white print. Mounted on tan matboard. Image of group of 11 men posed on a raised boardwalk in front of a clapboard building. Reversed image. The men are dressed in suits or shirtsleeves. All but one are wearing hats. Fourth man from left is wearing a long white apron and no hat. Pabst sign at right edge with lantern hanging above it. Written on back in blue ink: "Dillon Wyo. Saloon of George Baker-" "given to museum by Geo. Baker Encampment, Wyo." Written on back in pencil: "Mattado" "Dillon". Mounted on acidic matboard. Badly yellowed. Badly stained and soiled. Two nail holes in mat at center top. Chips missing from upper image edge. Lower right corner of mat badly bent. Edge and corner damage. Lower edge of image torn to right of center.
