Description

4 7/8" x 3 1/2" color photograph of the Voyager - the first plane to make it around the earth without refueling. Plane was on a truck to be brought to the Smithsonian, and drove through Rawlins. A shot of the voayger showing all three sections. Plane is on a flatbed, chained down, and the top portions are covered in a blue fabric. A sign for a business with two faux-old street lamps on top can be seen over/behind the plane. On the back is written "Rawlins WY July 1987 Voyger - Cross Country to Smithsonian" Picture was in an envelope labeled "Special Things in Rawlins".
