Black & white print on cream mat of a standing man in a uniform of an organization. He has dark suit jacket & pants. A "V" sash is around his neck & hangs to his waist. It is decorated with stars & has fringe on the edge. There is a short white apron around his waist with a ribbon. in inverted "V" shape pinned to waist. He has dark hair parted on the left & a full beard & mustache. His right hand rests on the back of a floral print chair. Written on bottom: "E. F. Cheney Grand Master Oct 14/84 to Dec 1/85" Printed on bottom in gold: "Baker & Johnston Evanston, Wyo" Edged in gold.
Written on back in black: "Lander, Wyo. This photo taken Aug. 20"/87 E. A. Cheney born Aug. 28th 1844 at Antwers Jeff Co. NY"
Good condition. Torn in center, scratched, accretion, fingerprints, creased, mat edges worn.Collection
