Rudefeha Mine in 1900. Three copies.
Update - 2009: Black & white print. Mounted on light grey matboard. Image of a group of log buildings under construction(?) on a partially denuded hillside. Group of 15 workmen posed on the site. Short length of track extends out from the buildings; man & ore cart at terminal end of track.
Written on lower mat margin in blue ink: "Rudefeha Mine about 1900" "Given by Geo Baker Encampment Wyo."
Written on back in blue ink: [cut off] named for the four men who owned the mine using the first two letters of each mans [sic] name. Ru - for T. M. Rumsley - Banker[;] De - for Robert Deal - stockman & miner['] Fe - for George Ferris one of the early day sheep men in Carbon Co.[;] Ha - for Ed Haggarty - prospector and the man who discovered the mine."
Written on the back in black ink: "copied".
Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down from original size - edges uneven & writing on back cut off. Mat back showing acid burns on lower & left edge; badly soiled; liquid stains. corner damage; surface missing from lower right corner on front. Mat front & image badly soiled. Image surface fingerprinted & scratched.
Three 3 1/2 x 4 7/8 black & white copy prints.
