Officers house at Ft. Steele Update March 2011: Black & white print card. Image of two women in long dresses & large brimmed hats standing on the porch of a wood frame building. On the porch in front of the woman on the left is a fishing creel. She holds a fishing pole. The roof has a high peak & chimney. On photo left in the distance is a railroad & possible signal device. Written on back in blue ink: "One of the officers houses at Ft. Steele, Wyo. The Sager home after the fort was abandoned in 1886. Given museum by Mrs. Sager" Addressed to: "Mrs. Sager Fort Steele, Wyo." Message: "Rawlins, Wyo. July 29, '13 My Dear Mrs Sager, Here is a puzzle... Mrs. Fred Wilmat" A green stamp with a profile of George Washington & "U.S. Postage 1 Cent !" Postmark in a circle only date of "July 29" readable. On white adhesive tag: "Ft. Steel" Printed on back: "POSTCARD" "Correspondence Here" "Name and Address Here" Good condition. Wrinkled, accretion, top left corner creased, photo at angle on paper, scuffed, soiled. Size 3 3/8 x 5 3/8"
