Description

Black & white print of photo of a drawing. Image of four mounted riders running after Indians. Three carry rifles & one carries a pistol. Lead rider's hat has blown off his head & lays on the ground behind them. Typed on bottom right on original negative: Cowboys fighting Cheyenne Indians to recapture horses stolen by Indians from John Defenbaugh, April 1880". Printed on bottom in black: "J. W. Wigingar Jr." & a drawing of a pistol. Good condition. Accretion.
