Description

Black and white photo on cardboard, cut into an oval -- circa 1900 - 1920 (perhaps earlier). In the photo sits a couple in formal attire. The gentleman wears a black suit with a white undershirt; he also has a mustache. The female has short curly hair which has been accentuated with charcoal. A pearl necklace and choker has been drawn onto the female's appearance, her lips have been redened and a flower of yellow and green has been drawn near her right breast. There is damage to the peripheries of the picutre -- both liquid and wear. The background of the female's head has been scribbled with charcoal. On the back of the picture are several words. "Ottawa' is written in cursive at the top -- below that is a scribble in blue. Benath the scribble "M. Hall" is written in small letters. "248" is written on the left center. At the bottom in cursive "Mr. _. H. Huds..." is written, below that is a large cursive "D" followed by what appear to be an "el." Dimensions: Height: 19 1/2"; Width: 13 3/4".
