Update - 2009: Black & white copy print. Snapshot. Image of a small clapboard building with a sharply peaked roof & an off center doorway. Large window under roof peak. buildings at left. Signs on building: [under peak] "DENTAL PARLOR" [over door] "DOCTOR MAGHEE"" [;lower left front] "A. F. THODE DENTIST". Three men standing on dirt in front of building. All dressed in dark suits & hats. Man at center holding white roll in left hand.

Written on back in pencil: "Anthonys" "Dr. Thode Dr. Maghee unidentified man" "Dr. Maghee was U.P. doctor and did practice surgery in the 1880's"
Written in pencil on white adhesive label pasted on back: "Thode".
Stamped on back in black ink: "Meyers Studio Rawlins, Wyoming".
Note taped to back [removed 5/28/09]: 400 block of Cedar Street North side Sam Foreman residence of 1880 sold to Dr. T. Maghee in 1881 East 1/2 sold to Dr. Thode dentist in 1884 and west half in 1887 Big Nose George's remains found in barrel at rear of this building lot 11 of block 14 Photograph 1888
Back soiled. Transparent tape remains on back after note removal. Emulsion badly cracked throughout. Fingerprint mark in upper right corner; corner bent & emulsion cracked. Lower right corner bent - emulsion cracked. Damage on original negative in lower corners.

Written on back in blue ink: "Dr. Thode & Dr. Magee [sic Maghee] third man unknown. Taken in front of their offices on Cedar Street. Dr. Thode was it's first dentist in Rawlins when Wyoming was a territory - Dr. Magee [sic Maghee] was the Union Pacific Railroad physician & surgeon & did plastic surgery in the 1880's. It was he who put Big Nose George's body in the whiskey barrel of brine, cut off top of his skull to study his brain. The barrel with his body all but the top of his skull was buried back of this building in the early '80's, found May 1950" "Given museum by Miss Christel Thode" "Exterior Rawlins Business houses" "Dr. Adolph Thode" White adhesive tag written in pencil: "Rawlins Businesses" Printed on front left edge in gold: "Third Street, L. Condition: Good. Right left bottom corners paper missing, creased, emulsion impacted, accretion, edges worn.
