"Collison" was the pilot & he escaped without a scratch even though the only parts of the plane not wrecked were the tail & the pilots seat. Walt Lambertson is standing near the plane. "Collison" flew into Sherman Hill west of Cheyenne with an airliner, killing all aboard. The investigation as to the cause of the accident showed that the altimeter was off by 1000 feet. (This accident was caused by engine failure on takeoff. The pilot tried to come back to the field but crashed.).
