Description

Unloading ties and irons on track line, UP. Update 2/2010: Black and white glossy print of a partially seen early day train engine, attached coal car, box car and many flat bed cars laden with railroad ties. Workmen, horses and wagons are seen at side right. Ties are strewn along the side of the rail bed. A large barren gulley is in foreground. #291 in white on side of coal car. Written on back in black ink: "Unloading ties and iron on line of track. E.M. Tierney." Fair condition. print is faded and has blurry areas. Emulsion has indentations, scratches and tiny residue at various locations. Tiny dark scuff marks on back. Corners are worn. Few tiny dark spots on side right. Update February 2011: One glossy copy print. Written on back in black ink: "Unloading ties and iron on the line of track" Slightly visible on front, left, center: "U P File Photo" Good condition. Creased lower left, irregular borders. Size 6 3/8 x 7"
