Black and white glossy print of clapboard building. There is a fell on top under a small belfry. Written on end of building is "Rawlins Public School 3". A small attachment is in entry where about a dozen children stand at the top of the steps. Windows with shutters are on the side and end of the building. More people are on the photo right behind a solid board fence that abuts building. A picket fence surrounds side where children stand.
Written on back in pencil: "First school house in Rawlins." "School Buildings." "63% page 68 pic 1, 3 3/4 x 6". in black ink: Copied and mounted.
Condition: Fair. Tear 1/2 x 3/4 inch in top center. Emulsion cracked around tear. Left Side and lower left corner and upper right corner emulsion cracked. Upper left crazing. Back soiled.
