Description

Con Ryan or Belle Welch. Update 2/2010: Black and white print of an early day train engine with cow catcher in the front. The various parts of the locomotive are decorated with two toned star design material wrapped around the short circular chimneys on top. Other decorative rope is looped on side of train at various placed and on long angular poles of engine front. An U.S. Flag hangs at front and at engineer's cab. A picture of Teddy Roosevelt is on center front of engine under the top light. A sign #1810 is seen on top of light and at top left on encasement. A large tower looking rock outcropping on a mountain is at background. A large # of men are lined up along the length of the train. "There is a lower short platform enclosing the case of the train which gives the appearance of the train being elevated, which it is not. Written in blue ink: "Con Ryan or Belle Welch". Fair condition. Margins have been irregularly cut off. Print has blue ink on surface, scuffing and scratches and wear on corners with lower right corner torn off. Back of print has large yellow stains and soiling. Note: Original donor record states: "Green River Round House. Teddy Roosevelt Special. Ed's Grandfather in the picture."
