Sheepherder's wagon.
Update 5/2010: Color print card of sheep wagon, supply wagon, and teepee set up on the prairie. supply wagon has tall sides, wood spoke wheels and 2 horses tied to the side. Sheepwagon has a canvas extension on the back and horse tack hanging from the side. On photo right is the teepee with poles outside the canvas to hold it up. Ground is brushy with mountains in the background, a blue sky with white clouds above. Printed on back in blue ink: "Post Card" "#3820" " Out on the lone Prairie." "Sheepherders wagon out in the wide open spaces, sheep herders and their bands of sheep are often out for months and this is their home. Supplies are brought out to theme and they with their sheep during the summer season". A red "U.S. Postage 2 cent " stamp with a picture of "Jefferson". In blue ink: Addressed to: "Mrs. Carmen Petersen c/o General Delivery Walker, Minnesota". Message: "Dear Mrs. Petersen, have been wanting to drop you a line etc... Love Frank and Helen." Postmark in black circle. "Laramie, Wyo July 14, 11 AM 1956". Printed in blue on bottom: "Pub. by Sanborn Souvenir Co, Inc. Denver, Colo. 37145".
Condition good. Emulsion has been impacted by postmarks, deep scratches, right edge bent, accretions.Collection
